Google Custom Search replaces WordPress Search

I have replaced the internal Search functionality on this weblog with Google Custom Search. How to integrate this with your template in a nice manner, you can read in an article by Firewalker. It is a nice feature that offers and you can change the look and feel to your needs. However, I am not sure if I will keep it on this blog for long...

indexes the complete pages including sidebars and such. This may give too many search results in my opinion. The navite Search just searches through your posts - and with the right plugins through the comments. I think this may be better.

Why did I change to Custom Search in the first place then? Well, I like to try things. ;)

Zoeken betekent nu ook vinden

SearchZoeken op Onbezet.nl betekent nu ook vinden - althans in meer gevallen dan voorheen. Dat is tenminste mijn voorzichtige inschatting. :D

Vandaag heb ik de Search Unleashed voor namelijk geinstalleerd. Met deze worden de gezochte termen netjes ge-highlight in het zoekresultaat. Daarnaast kun je ook de reacties doorzoeken. De reden dat ik tegen deze aan liep is omdat er iets in zit waar ik naar op zoek was: bezoekers van zoekmachines zoals worden netjes met een extra melding bediend van waaruit ze door kunnen klikken naar de plek waar de gezochte woorden het eerst voor komen.

Probeer maar eens door hier te klikken en dan weer door te klikken naar het Onbezet.nl zoekresultaat. Ik vind het in ieder geval een leuke aanvulling.
